My Journey to Becoming an Accredited Belief Coding® Facilitator

On 6th August 2025, a year ago today, an email arrived that I'd been working towards for almost two years.

I had passed my Belief Coding® accreditation.

It was a very special moment — and perhaps even more so because my journey to get there hadn't been particularly quick or straightforward.

When I first started training in Belief Coding®, I don't think I fully appreciated quite how much I would learn — not only about the process itself, but about beliefs, emotions, other people and, inevitably, myself.

Becoming accredited involved far more than simply completing the training.

As part of the accreditation process, I needed to complete and submit 10 case studies, as well as taking part in a further 20 Belief Coding® facilitations, either giving or receiving sessions.

There was plenty of learning, practising, reflecting and writing along the way.

And I took my time.

Life sometimes has other plans

During much of this period, my wonderful Dad was poorly.

There were times when studying and completing case studies fitted into life — and other times when it quite rightly didn't.

I could have put pressure on myself to finish more quickly, but instead I allowed the qualification to take the time it needed.

Nearly two years after starting my journey, I finally completed everything required for my accreditation.

Looking back now, I'm glad I did it that way.

Taking longer gave me more time to practise, to experience Belief Coding® for myself and to develop my understanding and confidence.

And I certainly didn't do it alone.

Two very special thank yous

I owe an enormous thank you to Tracey Brodie, my mentor and teacher throughout my training. Tracey, thank you for sharing your knowledge so generously, for your guidance and encouragement and, most importantly, for believing that I could do it.

And then there was my dear friend Marie Lindsey — my accountability partner, study buddy, fellow practitioner and the person travelling alongside me through so much of the journey.

Having someone with whom you can practise, learn, compare notes, celebrate the breakthroughs and occasionally give each other the necessary shove is invaluable!

Marie, thank you for being my person. ❤️

I did it!

So, on 6th August 2025, after almost two years of learning, practising, case studies and facilitations, I officially became an Accredited Belief Coding® Facilitator.

It felt wonderful.
